Spending on notebooks and pens

Spending on notebooks

Only buy notebooks from which it is easy to tear off pages easily. If that is not possible, if it is not possible to rip off pages easily, no matter how fancy the notebook looks, stay away from them.

A4 size

  1. Stick to A4 size pages
  2. Size does matter
  3. They give you space to jot down ideas, work through the ideas, add additional points, questions, action plans, and make changes to all of them later - if necessary
  4. Buy three-ring binders for A4 size paper
  5. And buy wide-ruled papers.
    1. Or
    2. Just use plain-white A4 size papers - the ones that we buy for printer.
    3. Use a three-ring hole puncher to punch holes in them.
  6. That will make buying notebooks obsolete at all - at least for working at the desk.
  7. If I need one to carry around with me, I should get A4 size notebooks for that purpose as well.

Spending on books and pens

  1. Stick to cheap notebooks (A4 size) and cheap pens (Bic roundstic) and stay away from expensive options.
  2. When you look at expensive alternatives, do not get tempted to buy them.
  3. The cheaper alternatives let you focus more on the content instead of the form.
  4. Content is more important than form.
