What is the difference between owning a single family home and a townhouse?

The main difference would be the monthly EMI. 2700 vs 1300. For a townhouse, it would not be much different from paying rent to an apartment (speaking from the perspective of monthly payments). With a townhouse, the monthly budget can be wrapped up at around 5K. Imagine the possibilities that it would open up for the cash if we can cap the monthly budget at 5K.
